Terms of Use and Delivery

The online shop products are sold by City of Rauma. (Business ID 0138780-9).

1. Registration and personal data

Placing an order in the online shop does not require registration. By registering to the online shop, you can make your purchases faster and view your orders. The e-mail address used for registration serves as the Customer’s username. The password is set by the Customer upon registration. Usernames and passwords are personal. The Customer is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their username and password. The Customer is responsible for any activities that occur in their account and any costs arising from them.

The Customer must provide the information needed to use the online shop services. City of Rauma is entitled to handle the Customer’s personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act and other Finnish legislation. The Customer’s information will be saved in the customer register of the online shop. City of Rauma will not disclose the Customer’s personal data to third parties without separately requesting permission from the Customer. The Customer has the right to prohibit the processing of their personal data for the purposes of direct advertising, distance selling, other direct marketing, market research, opinion polls, public registers and genealogical research.

2. Placing an order

Products are mainly ordered via the Internet at verkkokauppa.rauma.fi, through a shopping cart. All orders are confirmed by an e-mail, indicating the price of the order, the delivery costs and the ordered products. Order confirmation requires providing an e-mail address when ordering. By making the payment, the Customer agrees to follow the online shop’s Terms of Use and Delivery that are valid at the time of the order as well as the special terms applying to the product ordered.

3. Payment methods

The products must be paid for when placing the order. Online payments take place via a secure connection through the Suomi.fi/Paytrail service. Orders can be paid for by using the Finnish banks’ online payment and credit card services (Visa and MasterCard).

4. Prices and value added tax

For online orders, the valid price is the price shown at the point of placing the order in the online shop. The online shop prices may differ from prices at other points of sale. City of Rauma reserves the right to change prices. All prices are shown in euros (EUR). The prices indicated in the online shop include value added tax at the current rate.

5. Terms of cancellation for enrollment

Enrollments are binding. Cancellations must be made in writing. In general, the period of cancellation is one week. This means that a written notice of cancellation (e.g. by e-mail) must be received one week prior to the start of the activity (please check product-specific instructions). A cancellation is valid once confirmed. If a predetermined minimum number of participants for a camp, a course or other similar products is not met and the activity is cancelled, notification of the cancellation will be sent to the contact information provided in the Customer’s order. The minimum number of participants depends on the product.

6. Delivery and returns

We deliver products on all working days. Notification of exceptional delivery times are specified separately. The products are delivered by mail to the delivery address indicated by the Customer in their order. If the delivery does not correspond with the order, if the products are damaged in transit or if for any another reason there is a problem, the Customer must immediately notify the seller. The seller must be notified within seven days from the arrival or receipt of the order. Delivery costs are determined by the content and weight of the order.

In accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, the Customer has the right to change or return the product within a 14-day period. We do not accept returns after 14 days from delivery. The product, together with the original package, must be returned in the same condition in which they were received. The Customer is liable for any costs incurred by returning the product, unless the product is faulty, incorrect or damaged upon receipt.

The balance will be topped up to Ceepos Mobile app right after Your payment. The loaded balance is unrefundable. 

Please include the following information when returning an order: social security number, name, address, telephone number, bank account details, and a copy of the order confirmation. All return policies must be agreed in advance with the supplier. Customers are requested to contact the supplier before returning a product.

7. Service maintenance, usability and defects

City of Rauma will make every effort to ensure that the online shop functions flawlessly and without interruption. City of Rauma is entitled to interrupt the online shop activities due to the following circumstances: a change or redesign of the service, a related technical reason, the installation, maintenance or repair of the data communications network or any similar reason and when required by law or other official regulations. Attempts will be made to schedule interruptions so that they do not cause any undue disruption to the Customer.

City of Rauma is not responsible for defects due to interruptions in data communication connections or other data communications provided by a third party or to flaws in such services. City of Rauma is also not responsible for defects which are due to the Customer using the online shop contrary to the instructions or regulations or faults that have otherwise been caused by the Customer.

8. Information security

The online shop is SSL secured. The Customer is responsible for ensuring appropriate information security in the Customer’s own information systems. City of Rauma maintains the confidentiality of all information concerning or submitted by the Customer. City of Rauma maintains the security of its online shop in a generally acceptable and efficient way and seeks appropriate technical solutions to prevent unauthorised access to its data systems.

9. Equipment, software and connections

The Customer is responsible for acquiring and maintaining the equipment, software and network connections required to use the online shop, as well as the related costs. The equipment, software and connections must not disturb or otherwise inconvenience the online shop or other network users.

10. Liability for damages

City of Rauma is only responsible to the Customer for any direct damage caused through negligence by violating the agreement. If it can be established that City of Rauma is at fault, the Customer can be reimbursed for those costs unduly collected from the Customer by the online shop.

City of Rauma is not liable to pay damages or other direct or indirect reimbursement or compensation due to disturbances or defects specified in section 6.

11. Force majeure

If affected by a force majeure event that prevents transactions in the online shop or makes them excessively difficult, City of Rauma will not be liable for any obligations related to the online shop. A force majeure event includes fire, earthquake, flood, explosion, strike or other stoppage of work, regulation of the authorities, disruption in the energy supply, shortage of raw materials or supplies, cable or other communications disturbance caused by or resulting from a third party; or any other similar reason, of which the service provider was unaware and for which it could not reasonably be expected  to anticipate in advance. If possible, City of Rauma will report any force majeure on its website immediately after the event has occurred.

12. Amendment of Terms of Use and Delivery

City of Rauma is entitled to amend the Terms of Use and Delivery of the online shop after announcing the upcoming amendment on its website well in advance.

13. Resolution of disputes

Any disputes concerning this agreement will be resolved in the District Court of Satakunta in accordance with the Finnish law.
