Bobbin Lace Making in Rauma – From a Livelihood to a Living Handicraft Tradition

The Rauma Museum's publication looks at the long history of the Rauma lace tradition and the role of lace-making as a living craft tradition in modern times. The book also highlights the life stories of Rauma's lace makers from different periods. The book is written by museum curator Hanna-Leena Salminen, non-fiction writer Helena Honka-Hallila and docent Pauliina Latvala-Hirvilahti.

Hardcover, stitched and colour illustrated publication from 2024. 128 pages, size 29 x 25cm. The publication is bilingual, Finnish and English.
