Finland’s first archaeological World Heritage Site is located about 20 km from downtown Rauma, nestled in peaceful forest surroundings. The site is accessible on foot, and a guide will lead you along a forest trail on a fascinating journey back over 3,000 years to the Bronze Age.

Within an area of just under a kilometer, there are nearly 40 burial mounds of various shapes and sizes, which tell of the lives, beliefs, and burial customs of ancient people. The guided tour brings history to life through stories and reveals the archaeological significance and symbolism of the site.
